Transfer Code Descriptions
Information on real estate transfers is taken from Vermont real estate transfer tax returns filed with the Vermont Department of Taxation. Transfer records are sorted by county, town and street and include the following items of information.
(1) County and town including subdivisions.
(2) Street or Location, Building & Acres.
Street or Location of the property; in general, all sales for which a geographic location could not be determined are listed under "NA" and all numbered routes are listed together.

(6) Vol/Page - The volume and page where the transfer is recorded at the city/town clerk's office. A question mark between the volume and page (eg. 721?326) indicates a questionable reference.
(7) Date Filed / Date of Recording - date that the transfer was recorded at the city/town clerk's office.
(8) Seller > Buyer - Seller and Buyer names reported are the first appearing on the transfer return. A (+) sign following the name indicates that there were additional parties to the sale.
